Biography

With a robust foundation in academia and professional development, Katie brings a wealth of expertise to all our clients. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. Additionally, Katie has a strong commitment to continuous learning, evident through certifications such as Certified Career Coach from The Academies Inc and completion of leadership development programs at Eckerd College and the American Express Leadership Academy.

 

As the Executive Director of Girl Develop It (GDI), Katie pioneered the organization's evolution into the virtual sphere, redesigning all programs to thrive in an online environment. By harnessing the power of virtual platforms, she expanded our reach, hosting classes, Hackathons, and networking events accessible to a wider audience. Katie's innovative approach to corporate and educational partnerships has not only diversified our revenue streams but also strengthened our impact in the community.

Previously, during her tenure at Best Buddies International, Katie held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Mission & Leadership and Senior Director of State Development. Demonstrating proficiency in budget management, strategic planning, and program development, she spearheaded initiatives that generated significant revenue and expanded the organization's reach across multiple states.

At the Tampa Bay Partnership, Katie served as the Senior Vice President of Regional Initiatives, facilitating collaboration between stakeholders to develop comprehensive policy agendas. Her leadership was instrumental in managing staff and overseeing outcomes across various departments. She orchestrated educational forums focused on political issues, fostering informed dialogue and attracting large audiences.

Throughout her career, Katie has excelled in cultivating strong relationships, whether with board members, volunteers, or government agencies. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her ability to recruit esteemed speakers, curate compelling programming, and implement initiatives that serve as models of excellence. As a skilled moderator, she facilitates dynamic discussions that inspire and engage participants, driving positive change within the community.

Katie resides outside Burlington, Vermont, with her husband and two daughters.
